Small Grants Scheme

What you can apply for
- Countryside access and rights of way - Countryside Access fund and/or
- Conservation projects to benefit the habitat or species particularly important to a site - Biodiversity fund
- Advice and up to 50% of the total project cost is available, up to a total grant of £10,000.
Who can apply
- The Small Grants Scheme is open to Parish or Town Councils.
- Landowners may also apply to the Countryside Access fund.
- Other organisations (e.g. charities, volunteer/community groups) may apply to the Countryside Access fund for interpretation materials (e.g. mapboards, leaflets), however for practical improvements the organisation will need to contact the relevant Parish/Town Council to apply on its behalf.
When can you apply
- Projects costing less than £2,000 - Applications can be accepted throughout the year with a final closing date 30 November 2012
- Projects costing more than £2,000 - Application closing dates, 25 May and 28 September 2012
