Outdoor Activity and Education Centres

The Outdoor Activities Service works with the Education Department's Outdoor Education Unit to provide the Hampshire Outdoor Service - safely and effectively utilising the power of the Outdoors as a medium for learning and leisure.

We have five long established and highly regarded outdoor centres directly owned and managed by Hampshire County Council, and work closely with a number of charitable trusts across the county.

Calshot Climbing wall

One of the largest outdoor education and adventure centres in Britain, offering an unrivalled number of educational and recreational activities, both on land and water.

Runway's End

Works is underway on £6.1 million activity centre for children across Hampshire to take part in world class, challenging and exciting indoor and outdoor activities.

Brecon Beacons

Situated within the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales, it provides young people the opportunity to experience and study in a wild environment.

In the heart of the New Forest, a unique Centre providing camping and bunkhouse accommodation and a range of activities for groups of all ages.

High Ropes at Beaulieu Development Centre

Located in the New Forest, providing high quality personal development, team building and leadership courses for schools, youth organisations, commerce and industry.
