Story Trails
Does your child like stories?
Come and explore our Story Trails together!
With the help of professional storytellers from Orange Apples we have developed a range of family-friendly trails based on easy access, circular countryside paths of around a mile long. Each trail has its own special story to be shared with children (and adults!) along the way.
The aim is to entertain and engage children of all ages and abilities, so that families can enjoy some of Hampshire’s lovely countryside together.
Story bags to borrow
There is now a range of ‘Story Bags’ that you can borrow and take with you on the trail. Each bag contains a selection of puppets, toys and other items to bring the story to life.
Bags can be borrowed for a £10 returnable deposit from Manor Farm Country Park, St Barbe Museum, Lymington and the Museum of the Iron Age, Andover, or as a 1-week library loan from Fleet, Chineham and Waterlooville libraries (don’t forget your library card!).
There is one bag for each Trail, so loans are subject to availability - for more information, please contact the staff at each location.
