Manydown Park films 1929-1936
These silent home movies were produced by Colonel Arthur Bates of Manydown Park in North Hampshire during the late 1920s and early 1930s, using a 16mm camera. All of the films were shot outdoors to take advantage of natural light and featured not just members of his family, but also a fascinating glimpse of local life.
