Standard hire rates include full support of an events manager during planning of your event and an event manager plus three events assistants to ensure security and health and safety for the duration of your event.

The Great Hall is open to the public from 10am to 5pm seven days a week. Any private hire of the hall includes closure to the public for the appropriate period.

Requests for any hire dates or times will be considered.

All main courses served with Hampshire Salad, a medley of vegetables lightly tossed in a local garlic oil, Wessex Salad, Julienne carrots, rich beetroot, fresh watercress and new forest mushrooms, hot minted new potatoes.

Hampshire Cheese board can be added £4.50 per head includes a platter of Hampshire Fare award-winning cheeses served with traditional accompaniments fruits, nuts and savoury biscuits.

Prices are per head which includes staffing until 11pm, food and service. Labour Prices after 11pm per member of staff £16 per hour. Additional charge of hire per head approx £8-10 to include chairs, tables and linen and glasses. Corkage £4.50 per head

Getting to the Great Hall

By Train

The Great Hall is a 10 minute walk from Winchester Station.

By Car

Tower Street car park is a 5 minute walk from the Great Hall.

By Coach

There are two Coach set-down points at either end of the city. The drop off point at Sussex Street is a 5 minute walk from the Great Hall. Waiting is limited to 20 minutes. There is a coach park for longer stays at Worthy Lane. See map below. The parking charge is £6 per coach per day, or part thereof. The Winchester Parking Office can be contacted via 01962 848346 if prior arrangement is required.
