Patrol Comments: Patrol and Hamble lifeboat attended an incident with two people who had capsized their dinghy and were in the water.

Patrol Comments: Collision between moored vessel and a yacht.

Nature of Incident: Yachts moorings released by vandals.
Patrol Comments: A yacht moored overnight on Hamble jetty was set free by vandals during the night. Luckily the yacht was caught on mooring close-by and now damage resulted from the incident.

Nature of Incident: Engine failure
Patrol Comments: Large motor cruiser lost all power while maneuvering in the main channel at Warsash. Vessel recovered and assisted by patrol.

Nature of Incident: Fuel spill
Patrol Comments: Large motor yacht lost approximately 200 ltrs of fuel oil due to an electrical fault. Vessel was boomed and 80% of spill was recovered by the patrol. Polluter was invoiced £1,040 for equipment used.

Patrol Comments: Vessel was recovered to the Harbour by lifeboat and patrol took over the tow at the entrance to the Harbour.

Patrol Comments: Yacht in collision with moored vessels.

Nature of Incident: Assistance given to casualty.
Patrol Comments: Crew member of a racing yacht recovered to Harbour masters Jetty following an incident when his boat was struck by lightning. The crewmember suffered with shock and severe muscle pain. Assistance and first aid given by patrol.

Patrol Comments: Patrol attended to 9 moored vessels and one vessel found drifting. Patrol also recovered a man from Bunny Meadows footpath.

Nature of Incident: Yacht Sinking
Patrol Comments: Yacht found sunk at its moorings. Following investigation found the vessel had been held down by its mooring warps.

Nature of Incident: Rescue
Patrol Comments: A RIB with one person on board hit Hamble Spit at speed stalling engine and causing helm to hit his head on consul. RIB swept on to shoreline in the surf. Rescued by Harbour Patrol – First Aid Given.

Patrol Comments: Two youths reported seen removing an outboard engine from a moored vessel. Youths escaped.

Patrol Comments : Assistance given by patrol to man recovered from a yacht suffering with a heart problem. Man recovered to hospital.

Nature of Incident: Fire on Board Motor boat.
Patrol Comments: Fire aboard a small motor boat which was moored alongside the ferry pontoon at Hamble River sailing Club. Boat was destroyed. Fire brigade investigating with Police possible arson case.

Nature of Incident: Break-in and theft from moored boat
Patrol Comments: Mid-stream moored yacht found with main hatchway broken open and contents of main saloon found in disarray. Vessels owner and police informed - vessel secured by patrol. A number of items were stolen from the boat.

Patrol Comments: Vessel could have been sold within seven days but the owner settled the account and yacht returned to his possession within the seven day period.
