Notice to River Users 15 of 2008

Marina maintenance dredging
Port Hamble Mercury Yacht Harbour

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, Maintenance Dredging of Port Hamble and Mercury Yacht Harbour will continue on or about the dates given below. The expected completion date is given below but is dependant on the weather.

b. Port Hamble Marina

Commencing 2 January completing on or about 16 January 2008.

Mercury Yacht Harbour

Commences 1 February completing on or about 16 February 2008

All vessels involved will display the appropriate lights and shapes as required by the International Regulations for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea.

River users are advised to maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 for navigational broadcasts during these operations, and navigate with caution in the vicinity of the vessels involved, particularly large spoil barges constrained by their draught, which may also transit the River during the hours of darkness.
