Recovery of Casualties: Persons and Vessels

Ambulance Evacuation

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the nominated recovery point to disembark casualties is the Harbour Masters Jetty, Warsash.   Vessels recovered into the River with casualties aboard who require ambulance evacuation should in all cases be brought to the jetty at Warsash.

2. Masters of vessels with casualties or vessels being assisted under tow with casualties aboard should call Hamble Radio on VHF channel 68 to request assistance or if out of office hours call the Coastguard on VHF channel 16.

Fire and Rescue

3. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the nominated recovery point for vessel in danger from fire or vessels recovered into the River in danger of catching fire or on fire should be recovered to the Harbour Masters Jetty at Warsash.

4. Masters of vessels in danger from fire who require assistance should call Hamble Radio on VHF channel 68 or if out of office hours call the Coastguard on VHF channel 16.

Vessels in Danger from Sinking

5. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that vessels in danger of sinking should not enter the Harbour without the prior consent of the Harbour Master, which will not be withheld unreasonably.

6. Vessels in immediate danger of sinking should be beached on the slipway at Warsash.
