Notice To River Users 3 of 2007
Reporting Concerns Relating to Safety
1. River Users are requested to immediately report to the Harbour Master any reasonable concern they have regarding safety on the River Hamble. River Users are also requested to report incidents and damage which may affect safety on the River (Bye-laws for the River Hamble Undertaking, Nos. 8 and 9 refer).

or call Solent Coastguard on VHF Channel 16 or 67
2. To report incidents and damage to the Harbour Master call “Hamble Harbour Radio” on VHF Channel 68 or telephone 01489 576387. You may be asked to submit a written report. Members of the public may report there concerns by completing a form on line at:~ www3.hants.gov.uk/hambleharbour
3. Incidents and damage that should be reported include:
- a. Damage to and collisions between vessels.
- b. Damage to navigation marks, harbour structures or facilities.
- c. Malfunctioning navigation marks.
- d .Dangerous close quarters situations between vessels.
- e. Vessels proceeding at an excessive speed or creating excessive wash.
- f. Any dangerous occurrence.
4. The River Hamble Harbour Authority complies with the Port Marine Safety Code and has appointed an independent Designated Person to monitor compliance with the Code and to report to the Harbour Authority. Any reasonable concerns regarding safety on the River may (in addition to being reported to the Harbour Master) be brought to the attention of the Designated Person by writing to
