About Us

Manor Farm Country Park is owned and managed by the Countryside Service, part of Hampshire County Council's Recreation and Heritage department.

The aim of the site is to provide a living history visitor attraction and to conserve a farmstead of historic buildings, together with 400 acres of countryside, and to provide the infrastructure to enable and encourage public access, enjoyment and understanding of this area of countryside and its links with the past.

The country park (originally Upper Hamble Country Park) opened in 1979, and Manor Farm in 1984.

The site employs a team of ten full-time staff assisted by various seasonal and part-time workers, most of whom are engaged on the farm. A great deal of work is also undertaken by a dedicated band of volunteers who provide invaluable support.
