Manor Farm Country Park

Accessibility

Most of the farmyard and the country park are accessible to users of wheelchairs and pushchairs. If you feel you may experience difficulty, contact us for advice and we will do all we can to ensure your needs are catered for.

The Park

A network of mostly wide, well-surfaced trails allows easy exploration of the country park. These trails are marked by ringed wooden posts. Walking routes are marked with a yellow ring and horse riding routes with a blue ring.

An Easy-Going Trail gives access to the most popular areas of the country park for the less mobile visitor along compacted clay-with-stone surfaced paths. These can become muddy in places in wet weather. A large number of benches are situated at frequent intervals provide the chance to rest and enjoy the views.

Barnfield offers the best starting point for visitors with wheelchairs and pushchairs. From the tarmac car park, an easy-going wheelchair-friendly trail gives access past the kiosk to the open grassland picnic site, woodland, and riverside beyond. The Manor Farm Country Park Visitors' Guide, 50p from farm reception includes a fold-out map marking all trails, car parks and picnic areas.

The Farm

Most parts of the farmyard, together with the ground floor of the farmhouse and cottage, are accessible to users of wheelchairs and pushchairs. Access for wheelchairs between the farm reception and the farmyard is via a short slope, but is generally level from there on. The ground is generally firm but some areas can become muddy in wet weather. The farm's tarmac car park is situated approximately 100 metres from the farm entrance, with parking spaces reserved for visitors with mobility difficulties. Access from the farm car park to the tea rooms, toilets and the farm entrance is generally firm and level, apart from a short gentle slope.
