Queen Elizabeth Country Park welcomes disabled people and our staff will do all they can to ensure that you enjoy your visit. If you need extra assistance staff are happy to help.

Parking

  • Parking is free for blue badge holders
  • 35 metres to Visitor Centre

Our Visitor Centre and Cafe

  • Ramps avaliable on all visitor centre/cafe doors.
  • Guide dogs and assistance dogs welcome

Our site

  • An outdoor attraction with difficult terrain and topography and may present difficulties to visitors who use wheelchairs, those with restricted mobility or who are visually impaired

Facilities

  • Three disabled toilets open during daylight hours daily, located adjacent the main visitor centre, Butser Hill Kiosk and Juniper Kiosk
  • Baby changing facilities Visitor Centre, Butser Hill Kiosk and Juniper Kiosk
  • Hearing induction loop at Visitor Centre reception desk
  • Battery powered buggy available  -prebooking required
  • Two powered wheelchairs avaliable-free but pre-booking required.

Mobile phone walk
2 mile (3.5km) route into the forest and returns along the same track. Gravel surface with a light camber, suitable for all weather conditions. There are moderate slopes, up and down, and three benches along the way.

The walk has ten 'walk points' where you can phone for information about the park, its history and wildlife. Calls cost varies according to the network but will average less than £2 for the whole trail. Even if you do not use the mobile phone walk the signs are waymarkers for the powered wheelchair route.
