Barbecue Hire

Royal Victoria Country park has 4 barbeque sites which are available for hire throughout the year. Each site is set within its own unique location and gives you exclusive access to the barbeque, picnic benches, an area to play games  and toilets (which are shared by the 4 sites). The Barbeque sites are ideal for family gatherings, birthdays or staff Barbeque. Each barbeque is available for 2 sessions a day 11am-5pm and 6pm-11pm. On your arrival the Barbeque site will be opened, cleaned and ready for your use.

As the BBQ sites are extremely popular you do need to phone the park information centre on 023 8045 5157 to check availability and to make a provisional booking before completing the booking form.

Large Barbeque sites

Capacity 100 people Cost £50 per session

• Cedar (L1) - Is located in a wooded area - Booking form
• Willow (L2) - Is located nearer to the children’s play area - Booking form
• Oak (3) - Is located in a more open area - Booking form

Small Barbeque site

Capacity 20 people Cost £20 per session

• Bluebell (small)- is located near to the children’s play area - Booking form

Booking Procedure

• Please call the park office to check availability and make a provisional booking.
• Download and print the appropriate booking form.
• Return completed form to
  Royal Victoria country Park, Netley Abbey, Southampton SO31 5GA
• Bookings will only be confirmed on receipt of the booking form and hire fee.
• Provisional bookings will be held for 14 days otherwise bookings will be forfeited.
• Unfortunately bookings are not transferable and refunds can not be issued.
• Please make cheques payable to Hampshire County Council and put your name, Barbeque name and date of the barbeque on the back of the cheque.
