Staunton Country Park

The beautiful Hampshire countryside, an ideal backdrop for outdoor activities

The Ornamental Farm

The 1830s style ferme orneé (ornamental farm) is home to Pigs, Goats, Peacocks and llamas alike.

Staunton is home to many at risk breeds including Longhorn Cattle, Lord Bagot Goats and Jacob sheep. Until recently many of these were considered rare but through dedicated work of breeders are now merely on the at risk register.

There are some real characters at the Park loved and visited time and time again. There’s Jess the shire horse, Alma and Riva the miniature donkeys and Rosa, Roma, Spotty and Antonio the alpacas to name but a few.

You can even feed some of the animals on the Farm including the goats, sheep, llamas, alpacas and cows. The horses and pigs are on special diets so can't eat the food we sell to our visitors. On busy days during the holidays animal feeding is extremely popular and food can sell out pretty quickly, so make sure you get here early to avoid disappointment!
