Walking - Active Staunton

New for 2006 are three brand new walking trails through the Country Park. The routes, of varying distances, have recently been newly laid and way marked. Each of the routes gives an insight into a different aspect of the park.

Walking trail 1 Discover our heritage
A 1.6km walk through Leigh Park gardens and around the Ornamental Lake. This trail uncovers some of Staunton's intriguing follies, taking a glance into the Estates fascinating past.

Walking trail 2: Inspirational surroundings
This trail is the beginning of the Staunton sculpture trail. This 2.2km walk takes you past the fascinating sculptures created by Anthony Rogers, as well as some of the longer standing creations, including the Beacon.

Walking trail 3: Explore our Estate
The longest of the three new trails this 5.1km route takes walkers up as far as the top lake, through woodland and meadow, to see parts of the Estate they may not event have known existed.
