Inspire Award 2010/11 Winner

We are very pleased to announce that Hampshire Learning tutor Francesca Ardiccioni has won this year’s Inspire Award. Francesca, who teaches Modern Foreign Languages in Alton and Liss, garnered very high praise from the eighteen learners who nominated her, describing her as ‘truly inspirational’,  ‘the most enthusiastic teacher’ who ‘makes the experience of learning extremely enjoyable’.   

Many of the learners who nominated Francesca pin-pointed a variety of excellent teaching skills and expressed how much progress they had made, but it was the comments about her dedication and enthusiasm for the subject which made her stand out from other, impressive nominees.  As one learner put it, Francesca’ ‘is always willing to go that extra-mile for her students’ which included keeping learners up to date with current affairs by emailing relevant articles from Italian newspapers and supporting learners development with Italian evenings and afternoon teas to socialise and experience Italian food and entertainment.

The award came as great surprise to Francesca who was teaching a class at the Alton Community Centre when it was presented.  

Congratulations to all eleven nominees who have inspired and impressed learners with high standards of teaching and helped learners achieve their goals!
