Celebrating Adult Learners’ Week with Hampshire Learning
Hampshire Learning is a keen supporter of Adult Learners’ Week and we hope to encourage all our providers to get involved this year by holding celebratory events - it’s an excellent opportunity to champion learning and promote your Centre to your local community and a wider audience.
Why not ?
- Hold a Coffee Morning…Throw a Tea Party… Fire up the BBQ… Launch an Exhibition… Present Prizes!
- Use the event to find out more about your learners… try out some new ideas... congratulate staff… celebrate successes… showcase achievement!
- Get together with other providers (and pool the celebration funding) to make a bigger splash
- Combine the celebration with tasters, workshops, launching new courses
Whatever you do...please make sure your celebration event
- Involves learners (past, present and even future)
- Includes tutors
- Is focused on Adult Learning
- Is great fun
- Promotes Hampshire Learning and Adult Learners’ Week
- Generates photos and stories (to share with Hampshire Learning)
- Takes place during Adult Learners’ Week (14 – 20 May)
Providers with 75+ learners on HL funded courses this term can apply for celebration event funding.
If you don't qualify because you have smaller provision, why not 'partner up' with another HL provider?
Want to attract new learners?
Apply for funding for tasters, workshops and new courses now!
Courses/tasters must be
- Targeted at NEW learners
- New for this academic year
- Take place in the Summer Term (new courses)
- Take place during ALW or the week leading up to ALW (tasters and workshops)
To help maximise the impact of your events/taster sessions and keep your costs to a minimum, resources such as customisable posters, press releases and logos are available from the Adult Learners’ Week website.
