Member Profile - Councillor Ken Moon

East Hampshire District Council

Ken Moon has extensive strategic management experience within the manufacturing sector. He was first elected to East Hampshire District Council in 2007 and was immediately given lead responsibility for economic development. A year later he became a Cabinet Member holding the portfolio for finance and asset management. In 2010 he was elected Deputy Leader and became Portfolio Holder for planning and the built environment. In 2012 he became Leader and retained this portfolio in March of this year.

Ken is also a passionate advocate for small businesses and has been involved with the South East Hampshire Branch since 2001, firstly as Vice Chairman, then as Chairman of the Wessex Region for the last 6 years. He also sits on the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) National Health and Safety Committee.
