Hampshire Biodiversity Information Centre (HBIC)


  • HBIC services the data needs of the Hampshire biodiversity programme.
  • The Centre is funded by a consortium of partners and is hosted by Hampshire County Council.
  • HBIC co-ordinates the data held by many different organisations. This helps to ensure that the information is used most effectively.
  • There are more than 7,000 detailed site records, 500,000 species records and 80,000 mapped habitat parcels on the HBIC database.
  • Hampshire Biodversity Information Centre also hold over 1.5 million species records provided by other orgnisations.
