From the Leader

Welcome to the autumn edition of Hampshire Now, which is filled with information about the County Council and our services. Read about health reforms and the new responsibilities for the Council and find out how we are shaping Hampshire for the future, to ensure the local economy can grow while maintaining quality of life for Hampshire’s residents. We report on the achievements of the past year following our ambitious savings and modernisation programme. Our Hampshire personality on pages 12 and 13, is Peter White, BBC broadcaster and correspondent who tells us about a career in journalism with a visual impairment and what he finds special about Hampshire.
You will also find our regular features inside, such as the Hampshire walk which is in Silchester on the Hampshire/Berkshire border and Ask the expert about bath mat safety.
