Good Neighbour Award Scheme 2011
Do you know someone who makes a difference in your community and especially to you? Would you like to nominate them for an award?
Nominate your good neighbour!
The closing date for nominations is Friday 27 January 2012.
The Good Neighbour Awards, introduced eight years ago, give you the opportunity to publicly recognise the support of neighbours and volunteers who give you that ‘bit of help’ to stay independent at home.
It’s often the small things, such as getting to the shops, collecting prescriptions, or keeping the garden tidy. Maybe you know an individual or a local voluntary group, who helps make these tasks easier. This is your chance to say thank you to them. Here are some comments from last year’s nominations:
“They make a huge difference to my life”
“Always helpful, the best neighbour ever!”
“I don’t know what I would do without them all”
Winners and those who nominated them will be invited to a special ceremony in The Great Hall, Winchester, on Tuesday 27 March 2012.
This award has been created by Hampshire County Council in partnership with Age Concern Hampshire, Brendoncare Club Hampshire, Carers Together, the Good Neighbours Support Service and WRVS.
