This edition of Hampshire Now covers a multitude of topics, which I hope you will find interesting to read during the cold nights of winter. Inside, we look at some of the treasures contained in the county’s museums. Our many museums and galleries contain a wealth of fascinating artefacts — most of which have been found right here in Hampshire. Our county is rich in minerals and we look at how minerals extracted in Hampshire end up in everyday products and developments that we all use. Some of their uses will amaze you! Plus, Hampshire History looks at the interesting story of Hampshire’s Lord-Lieutenant and the often unseen work that goes into the role.
