The Leaders project was an excellent opportunity to increase an individual managers understanding of the wider corporate objectives, whilst networking with other like minded professionals from across the organisation. It is essential that any manager embarking on the project is given a schedule of dates prior to signing up to ensure they do not conflict with pressures in the day to day role. The project we looked at gave an insight into a corporate initiative, that hopefully benefited from some fresh "outside the box" thinking.

Sharing ideas, thinking outside of the box (and being encouraged to!) The programme has been of benefit to me on a number of fronts. Firstly, I feel working in the RADICAL groups with individuals from very different areas of the Council have been most beneficial. I have gained a much better appreciation of the Counties role in society and service delivery, as well as, the future challenges that face the County. The RADICAL group was an excellent means of being able to build upon and practice the knowledge gained within the three modules. I have found the modules have gone alone way in refocusing my attention to various areas of my working life, such as, my relationship & interaction with subordinates & managers, developing & placing myself in a position to progress, and gaining a better understanding of how I fit into the County as a whole.
