Hantsweb Awards 2008
The Hantsweb Awards celebrate excellence in website design, accessibility and service. The awards are open to any website based in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
The Awards have been running since 2002 and we keep an archive of all previous Awards. Over the years they have highlighted the best in online services to local communities as well as benefiting the interests of all those who have participated.
Nominations now closed
Nominations for the awards are now closed and are in the process of being assessed by judges with expertise and experience in their chosen field. Overall they will look for good practice, accessibility, ease of use, relevance, and, of course, great design.
The standard of this year’s nominations has been as high as ever. Why not visit the list of nominated websites and pick your own favourites?
Winning websites and services are presented with a special Hantsweb Awards trophy and prizes at a VIP Ceremony which this year will take place at the Planetarium at Intech in Winchester on the morning of the 4th November.
The Awards could not take place without the continued support of all our sponsors.
Launch of Hantsweb Awards 2008
The Awards were launched by local sports hero Iwan Thomas who is currently appearing in Five’s ‘Superstars’ programme. As well as passing on some top tips to a number of Hampshire's Talented Young Athletes Iwan launched the Awards by nominating his favourite website. Read more about the launch.
We know from previously nominated sites that getting recognition really does make a real difference. As one of last year’s Hantsweb Awards winners says:
"It was great to get the recognition of our website after all the hard work we and our staff had put in. Since winning the award our business has grown. We consider it to be a huge honour to be picked out from other businesses who had impressive websites.”
