Ramblers' Association Andover Group - Winner

Ramblers Association Andover Group.

"A first rate site that answers all the questions. Easy to read and navigate, packed full of useful information - a great resource. Straightforward yet vibrant, clearly well used and supported. Highly browsable, accessible and full of well targeted information. Would be further enhanced by breaking up longer pages, and also by offering user generated content beyond the galleries."
Andrew Bateman & Martin Bazley, Judges

Portsmouth Historic Dockyard - Runner up

"A solid, useful brochure site. Good events and mapping detail, as well as use of imagery. Suggestions for families would be useful. Could help with more corporate information and some data protection guidance as well as an opportunity to resize text. Hover-information needs to enabled on the Flash-based map. The Your visit photos could be developed further, blending visitors' photos and tips with the main entries, to offer a richer, more informative resource"

Blackwater Valley Countryside - Runner up

Blackwater Valley Countryside.

"A straightforward, successful site offering clear information. Obviously well loved with lots of links and up to the minute things to see and do in the area. Having two competing menus along the can be problematic, but on this site it seems to work well, and is evidence of the user-focused approach to desiging the site. Navigation is clear and consistent, almost every page has an image, and it is well written in plain English, with sections broken up and good use of headings. The home page is probably the least successful element currently as some panels have far too much text, and as a result goes below the fold even on larger screens, exacerbated by the extra deep header banner. Use of absolute sizes for text, making it unresizable, is another surprising error for such an otherwise very pleasing site."
