Community Buildings Benefit from cash injection

Community associations throughout Hampshire are set to benefit from £16,024 thanks to grants from Hampshire County Council.
At his Decision Day (6 July 2012), Executive Member for Culture and Recreation, Councillor Keith Chapman awarded grants to five community organisations in the current financial year.
Village halls and community associations give residents the opportunity to participate in a range of local activities and initiatives. This latest round of funding will be used for a number of projects and improvements to help the organisations better meet the needs of their local communities; with roof repairs, and upgrades to heating and kitchen facilities.
The full breakdown of grant funding is as follows:
Appleshaw Village Hall Trust - £4,158
Brookvale Community Association - £6,250
Catherington Village Hall Trust - £2,613
Chilbolton Village Hall Trust - £1,329
North Baddesley Village Hall Trust - £1,674
Total - £16,024
Councillor Keith Chapman, said:
