Funding boost for Hampshire Community Projects

Five culture and community-based projects in Hampshire will benefit from grant funding awarded by Hampshire County Council's Executive Member for Culture and Recreation, Councillor Keith Chapman.
At his Decision Day (27 September 2012), Councillor Chapman awarded a total of £9,534 to the following organisations:

The funding will contribute to a variety of schemes, these are; community cohesion and cultural events, a mobile exhibition of interactive maritime archaeology, an ecological project and education programme by the River Beaulieu, a theatre heritage project for young children, and the creation of drawings to form a mural for display at Winnall Community Centre.
Councillor Chapman said:
"This latest round of grant funding will help to support some exciting new projects for residents across Hampshire. Through the use of culture, these schemes aim to improve people's quality of life while engaging and strengthening communities, as well as promoting sustainability."
