Why have standards?

To ensure a reliable, customer focussed, accessible and usable website for Hampshire.

There are 3 guiding principles that must be considered when producing any information that will appear on the web.

Who are the standards for?

All Hampshire County Council departments, business units, shared services, sold services, partnership and joint working projects that are hosted on the hants.gov.uk domain and collaborative projects where Hampshire County Council is the major funder must use Hantsweb to deliver your website and follow these standards.

Any externally hosted websites must have approval from the Digital Channel Manager.

Any approved externally hosted websites are must follow the accessibility and information managements principles outlined in the following guidance.

Compliance is mandatory for all sites under the hants.gov.uk domain.
