A day’s programme does not necessarily include all the listed activities and can be adapted to suit individual needs and requirements. Normally we fit in 3 - 5 activities during your visit.

Season hoops
  • that plants change throughout the seasons.
Leaf sort
  • to appreciate the variety of different colours of leaves as they change in the autumn.
Bud hunt
  • to make careful observations about the changes occurring to plants in the spring.
Seed dynamics
  • about the life-cycle of a plant through drama.
Seed survival  
  • about the life-cycle of a seed by playing an interactive game
Butterfly survival
  • about the life-cycle of a butterfly by playing an interactive game.  
Frog survival   
  • Frog survival – about the life-cycle of a frog  by playing an interactive game.
Caterpillar trail
  • about the life-cycle of a butterfly through role play  N.B this is a blind fold game of trust.
Colour sticky strips
  • about the range of different coloured and textured materials found in Gardens by creating an individual coloured strip.


 

Sessions times

  • Pre-school 10am -12pm
    You are welcome to stay for lunch
  • Reception 10am to 2.30pm
    with a break for a picnic lunch at 12pm in or near the Education Centre
