KS3/KS4 and 6th Form
Older students make use of the Gardens for art, team building, as well as Work Related learning and Work Placements. Other topics are also welcomed by arrangement or you may wish to come self-guided.
Art
Visit the Gardens with our staff, or self-guided, to see our Art in the Garden outdoor sculpture exhibition, and see our events listings for indoor exhibitions throughout the year.
With notice, we can arrange for artists or our Education team to work with your group.
Art in the Garden
Secondary school students are invited to submit work for exhibition. Please contact us for information.
Team Building
Popular throughout the year with all ages of students and staff, but especially for year 7 students in the Autumn, our Team Building (or Bonding) Days get groups working together.
Work Related Learning
We have regular visits from secondary and college students as part of their work related learning. They work with the Education staff in the Garden learning horticulture skills, gaining confidence and independence while learning other transferable skills. Most of these students have special educational needs.

Work placements
We also run a successful work related learning programme which enables interested horticultural and education students to gain valuable practical work experience.
Forest School
The opportunity to engage all students, but especially the hard to reach and the less academic students, with physical tasks and practical life-skills.
