Photographic Competition – Summer at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens
Congratulations to the prize winners and those who were highly commended. The judges commended the quality of the entries, so thank you to everyone who entered.
The Gardens would like to thank Roy Brophy for all his help in organising this competition as well as the judges, Paul Sansome, an outstanding and successful professional landscape photographer, and Kevin Sandall who is an accredited judge for theSouthern Counties Photographic Federation
1st Prize: Sunlight on Grasses- Centenary Walk. Amyn's winning photograph, taken using multiple exposures, made an immediate impact and perfectly summed up a glorious summer by capturing the light on grasses.
2nd prize: Alliums and Lupins. Gina's bold colours and simple composition was a vibrant rendition of the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens' summer experience.
3rd prize: Better Together. Of the many wildlife photographs entered, the judges commented that Lorraine's bees had the most impact and showed a striking level of detail, perfect colour and symmetry.
