Regency Dancing

Join us as we celebrate 100 Years of the Jane Austen Classic, Pride & Prejudice. The Hampshire Regency Dancers will recreate the romantic era as they perform a mix of stately and lively Regency dances in full 19th century costume.

Painting Pebbles

Bank Holiday Mon 6 May 1pm–4pm

Using acrylic paints and lots of imagination have fun decorating smooth pebbles with pictures, patterns or motifs.

No need to book, just turn up. Adults: free with normal admission. Children: £1

Bushcraft for 'Grown-ups': Campfire Cooking

Friday 10 May 4.30pm–7pm

Get back to nature and have fun learning forgotten techniques to make a fantastic campfire meal of fish skewers, game or rabbit pie and spotted dick – and of course whet your whistle with hot drinks from the Kelly Kettle.

£20 includes the food cooked (between the group) and refreshments.

Art in the Garden Outdoor Exhibition

Blue Sky Choir

Sun 26 May 1pm and 2.30pm

Enjoy songs to celebrate the return of summer as the Blue Sky Community Choir sings in glorious unaccompanied harmony around the Gardens.

Pennyroyal Garland Dancers

Bank Holiday Monday 27 May 3pm and 4pm approx

Leicestershire’s premier Clog and Garland Dancers will be be performing inn the beaautiful surrounds of Sir Harold Hillier Gardens.

Free with usual admittion fee.

Falconry on Father’s Day

Sun 16 June 1.30pm–4.30pm

Birds of prey on the lawn with hawks, falcons and owls.

Free with normal admission

Father’s Day Bushcraft

Sun 16 June 10.30am–1pm

This fun family bushcraft day for children age 4 to 11 years and their parents

Families are welcome to stay on and enjoy the Gardens afterwards.

£10 per person, accompanied Fathers free.

Please note children under seven must be accompanied by one adult per child.

Head of Collections David Jewell takes you on a virtual tour some of the UK’s best perennial borders and shares expert tips and advice. After lunch, bring ideas to life with a guided tour of our own Centenary Border – one of the most iconic!   

£19.95 includes a two course lunch and coffee. Booking essential.

Summer Serenade on the Centenary Border

Friday 16 August 6.30pm–8pm

Join us for a VIP evening on the iconic Centenary Border and enjoy its glorious perennial plantings at the peak of their summer colour. You will be welcomed with Pimms and canapés served on the Border’s ellipse while guitarists provide enchanting  musical accompaniment. Our experts will then take you on a tour of one of the longest double borders in Europe.

£14.95 per head
