If you rejoin the police force

If you rejoin the police force, you will have the option to combine your deferred pension benefits to pensionable service in your new employment. You should read the information in the New Police Pension Scheme guide before making a decision. If you would like to combine your benefits, please contact us if you have rejoined Hampshire Constabulary, or contact your new employer.

Transferring your benefits

You may decide to transfer your deferred pension benefits to another pension scheme. To investigate this, please approach your new pension provider.

To claim your deferred pension

Please contact us three months before your deferred pension benefits are due to be paid. If you have left service, your deferred benefits can be paid from age 60.

 

If you rejoin the police force

If you rejoin the police force, you will have the option to combine your deferred pension benefits to pensionable service in your new employment. If you would like to combine your benefits, please complete this form if you have rejoined Hampshire Constabulary, or contact your new employer.

Please contact us three months before your deferred pension benefits are due to be paid.

  • If you have left service, your deferred benefits can be paid from age 65, or from age 55 with reductions.

  • If still in service, your deferred benefits can be paid when you leave, if you are age 55 or older at the time.

  • Benefits paid before age 65 are reduced for early payment.
