Music education and community projects inspired by the London 2012 Games

  Practical ideas for music making developed by Hampshire Music Service for schools and community groups to use in their own locations. Five packs explore ideas for learning with music from Asia, Europe, Africa, Oceania and the Americas.

  Exploring the heritage sites: find out about the unique locations of the final events at Danebury Fort, Staunton Park, the New Forest, Winchester Cathedral and the Farnborough Airship Hangar – learn more about your heritage as well the music of the world!

  The ‘Five Notes’ music challenge - Five rings, five continents – and five notes to make your own piece of music. Take the notes of this special scale and let your imagination rip - then share it with the world by uploading it to the dedicated site.

  Concerts and workshops at your local arts centres: explore the music of the world, including events with professional musicians from around the globe.

   

• 

  Big events: come and hear music from Hampshire and around the world, created and performed by local children, community musicians and professional groups.
