EdICT - Education ICT Services for Schools

The name EdICT is short for Education ICT (or Education Information Communication and Technology Support and Development Services). Part of the Children's Services department, we are a non-profit making business unit within Hampshire County Council.

We provide ICT support, development and training to Hampshire schools. With over 540 schools linked to the main Hampshire County Council network for a broad range of ICT services, our mission is:

"To deliver efficient and innovative IT solutions to Hampshire schools."

   

This site provides an insight into the broad range of services provided and aims to assist schools in making decisions about which services best suit their needs.

Hampshire County Council provides a comprehensive range of ICT services to the county’s schools through well established partnerships between the Children's Services Department, IT Services, Capita and other linked organisations.

School leaders from all phases are encouraged to play an active role in the governance of the service. and strong relationships are maintained with national agencies such as the DCSF, Becta and Naace, to ensure that Hampshire’s ICT service develops in line with national strategic policy.
