Amport

Amport is to the West of Andover, stretching a thin arm to the Wiltshire border.

Amport House, built in 1857 by the 14th Marquess of Winchester, was used during the war as the headquarters of the Royal Air Force Maintenance Command. Today it is the Chaplains School for the Royal Air Force.
