Penton Grafton
The parish, North West of Andover, includes the village of Weyhill and the hamlet of Clanville.
Weyhill was the site of one of the nation's largest and most famous annual fairs. Its origins are obscure but an early reference occurs in the medieval Piers Plowman by Langland. It also forms the opening scene in Thomas Hardy's 'The Mayor of Casterbridge'.
