Aims of the initiative

The aim is to support village communities in designing, developing and implementing environmental improvements. These will have been identified by the local community through the Parish Council, Village Design Statements, Village Appraisals or Village Plans.

Schemes shall be of the highest quality and will focus on public areas.  They will be distinctive and respect the character of the village and its setting.

There are many bodies that provide environmental improvement funding  for a variety of environmental projects in rural areas.

Benefits

The Initiative adds value to projects by working with the Parish Council and village community. It will address local environmental problems to create well designed environments which will enhance the local scene for the benefit of the whole community.
