Fire Safety - Responsible Manager e-Learning

Hampshire Learning Centre, working with specialist fire safety trainers have developed a 10 minute e-learning course to introduce you to the subject of Fire Safety and how a Responsible Manager operates.

What will the Fire Safety - Responsible Manager e-Learning cover?

Fire procedures are highly important in maintaining our safety. Without the correct procedures in place, in the event of a fire an unorganised, chaotic situation can follow. It is the job of the responsible person to ensure that the correct procedures are in place, and that regulations are correctly followed. This e-Learning will show how this can be achieved.

Learning Aim:
To provide those identified as the Responsible Manager with the relevant information, instruction and training to ensure that they have the knowledge to fulfil their duties as described in the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Learning Objectives:
By the end of this e-learning you should:

• be able to demonstrate an understanding of the role and responsibilities of the Responsible Manager within Hampshire County Council.

• describe what is meant by the term “competent person” and how it is fulfilled within the Authority.

• demonstrate an understanding of the role of fire risk assessments and how they impact on fire safety management

• identify further training needs

Visits and progression through the course are tracked so that training via e-learning can be measured for effectiveness and provide a log as part of individual performance development
This e-Learning is aimed at employees who are nominated as the responsible manager, as well as all staff - to raise general awareness.
This e-Learning will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
