Using Passport

With the single sign on process you cannot share tokens because the token is unique to each individual user ID.

Light bulb Tip: If you have continued issues logging on, you are advised to remove and re-install Passport on your PC - see the information in the setting up pages.

Printing

When you log on to Hantsnet using Passport, your default printer will automatically be set to your home printer.

Most Passport users should be able to print from home. You should be able to print easily from Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and FrontPage, but not necessarily from other applications. (See FAQs for departmental applications which should print and are known not to print).

Home and remote printing is not formally supported through the Passport service due to the large variety of customers' PCs and printer equipment. If you find you can't print and the information in Learn.IT does not help you, please report the problem to the Help Desk who will make a note of your problem to help improve the service in the future.

If you do not have a printer at home or do not wish to print from your home printer, please send an email to the Help Desk who can remove you from the print group so that your office printer remains your default printer.

LightbulbTip: If you have a long document, you may prefer to print from your office printer - see print a document from an office printer.
