Internet Explorer

Hantsnet Passport is designed to work with Internet Explorer 32 bit, version 6.0, 7.0, 8.0 and 9.0

- checking if you have Internet Explorer installed on your computer and which version you have
- how to install Internet Explorer if you don't have it installed on your computer
- the settings you need to change.
Check for Internet Explorer
Right click Start in the bottom left of your screen
Click on All Programs
Search the list to see if you have Internet Explorer installed
If you have Internet Explorer in your list, this is version which you should always use when accessing Passport or downloading Citrix (if you have Internet Explorer (64-bit) listed, never use this version with Passport or Citrix)

If you have Internet Explorer, you also need to check which version you have
-right on Internet Explorer in the list
- select Properties
- click Version tab
- the file version will be displayed in the first two digits next to the File Version field.
or
- open Internet Explorer and press Ctrl + H
- click on About Internet Explorer and the version you are using will be displayed.

Install Internet Explorer
This can be downloaded free from Microsoft:
Go to the Microsoft website
Type in the Search box "Internet Explorer download" and click on Search
Find a link to download Internet Explorer 9.0
Click Download and follow the instructions on the screen
TIP You will need to change some settings in order for Passport to work - see the information below on Internet Explorer settings.
Settings for Internet Explorer
Open Internet Explorer and click on Tools then Internet Options. The following information will need updating:
