Help Desk - 24 Hours a day, 7days a week

Help Desk is your first point of contact for all IT faults and problems (except for schools see below).

Core Hours 07:30- 18:00 Monday to Friday

The Help Desk provides support on all matters relating to IT including:

  • all Hantsnet services
  • corporate & customer applications
  • networks
  • telecommunications
  • hardware maintenance.

When you call, you will be asked for your Hantsnet User ID (if you log a call for someone else, please state their User ID).

You may also be asked for:

  • the Asset Number of your machine (see the sticker "Property of Hampshire County Council IT Services")

  • the App Server Number (under the My Computer icon on your Hantsnet desktop - see screenshot below).

Out of hours 18:00 - 07:30 Monday to Friday and weekends /bank holidays

You can still call the Help Desk number - the Operations Team cover the phone and will be able to disclose Hantsnet passwords, Hampshire County Council SWIFT passwords and reset/force off sessions from Hantsnet in line with current procedures. Any other calls will be logged and passed on in the next working day.

School staff should report all IT problems to the helpdesk on 01962 847007 or email hantsit@hants.gov.uk.
