Play Sets
Hampshire has a large collection of playsets, which are available for use by drama and play reading groups. The collection is housed at Winchester Discovery Centre. You can find out more about the play sets collection by browsing the lists on this web page.
To confirm a set is available check the online Catalogue.
How to borrow
If you want to borrow playsets you will need to join the Drama Group membership scheme.
Membership is free, but restrictions apply:
- You can loan up to 30 individual copies for up to 8 weeks
-
Sets must be loaned as complete entities, we do not lend part sets
Most playsets include a single browsing copy, plus sufficient copies to allow a 'read through' of all the major parts. The browsing copy, (if available), can be loaned separately. This copy can be ordered using the standard reservations service. - Sets can be ordered using the online order form.
- Sets are loaned free of charge but reservation charges do apply.
- Each group must nominate a group contact, who will be named on the ticket and will take overall responsibility for any items loaned.
If Hampshire does not stock the play set that you require, you can order it via the interlibrary loans service. See charges
Please note, we are not able to accept advance bookings for play sets.
