Foreign language material

The Cultural Diversity Collection provides books in Albanian, Arabic, Bengali, Bulgarian, Chinese, Czech, Farsi, Gujarati, Hindi, Hungarian, Japanese,  Lithuanian, Malayalam, Nepali, Panjabi, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Tamil, Thai, Turkish, Urdu and Vietnamese. Ask at your local library if you would like to read books in any of these languages.

Large Print and audio books are also available in some of the languages. Many branch libraries stock Bollywood  DVDs

Staff are happy to visit local community organisations to talk about library services available.

Many libraries stock books in the following European languages, French, German, Italian and Spanish. All foreign language stock can be found on the Online Catalogue in Advanced Search by selecting the language required as a keyword or choosing the language from the drop down box and highlighting it.
