Why do I need to login?
The library eResources are generally premium databases for which we pay a subscription fee. The terms of subscription normally specify that they be made available to library members or personal visitors to the library only.
Do copyright restrictions apply to eResources?
Yes. Most sites will have a link to a legal notices or similar page which should give you more information about such restrictions.
Usually it won't be permissible to make multiple copies of extracts or use any copies for commercial purposes.
I can't log-in to the eBook service
If you have recently joined the library your details may not yet have been passed to OverDrive, the library software supplier - this can take up to five working days.
I can't download my eBooks
The eBook provider OverDrive has their own extensive support page which should be able to help.
Why aren't eBooks available for Kindle?
Amazon Kindle is not a supported device in UK libraries. This is due to different Digital Rights Management requirements by publishers of eBooks which are sold to libraries and other download providers.
