Library Membership

  • Joining the library is free
  • If you live, work or study in Hampshire you can become a member of Hampshire libraries
  • You will need to provide a contact address.  You must notify us if you change your address. All correspondence will be deemed to have been served if posted to the last address you have given us
  • Your library card can be used in any Hampshire library  (not Southampton, Portsmouth and Isle of Wight)
  • Your child is never too young to join the library - even babies can become members!
  • Children and young people under 16 will need the signature of a parent or guardian on their form.
  • If you lose your library card please tell the library as soon as possible.  There is a small charge for replacement cards
  • Items borrowed on your card are your responsibility. You will be liable for fines and lost items. We will share your details with relevant partners of Hampshire County Council for relevant purposes, including recovering unpaid charges and/or recovering items, should you not return them
  • Non-members may use library facilities, including computers, as guests. You must become a member before you can borrow items.
