Ordnance Survey Mapping and Data Centre

A new mapping service available now at Winchester Discovery Centre, Basingstoke, Fareham and Fleet Libraries

What is it?

Staff at each of the libraries will work on your behalf to produce site centred maps - OS Siteplans (Scales 500, 1250 or 2500) or OS Landplans (A4 1:10000; A4 1:5000; Customised; Data TIFF; Site Centred 3x3 1:5000; Site Centred 5x5 1: 10000; Standard Sheet)  from postcode, placename, address, National Grid Sheet or National Grid co-ordinates, suitable for Planning Applications, as well as more specialised information required by architects, builders, surveyors and estate agents. Each library has its own arrangements for operating the service, including an appointment based service at some branches.  

Printing of maps can only be supplied as A4 printouts (black and white or colour). They can also be emailed as pdf,  TIFF or AutoCAD DXF.

Current Charges

As an example, the standard 6 printed copies A4 size of an OS Siteplan for Planning Applications, currently costs £25.
