Music Scores

Single copies of music scores, including miniature scores, vocal scores, chamber music parts, tutors and music for solo instruments and some popular albums are held at many libraries. Music may not be copied either manually or electronically without permission from the publisher.

Sets of vocal scores and orchestral parts are available for loan to societies, churches and schools

  • A vocal set may contain both vocal scores and chorus editions
  • An orchestral set includes a Full Score, a complete set of wind, brass and percussion parts as specified plus string parts - usually 88663 (1st violin, 2nd violin, viola, cello, bass)

How to Borrow Sets

  • Groups should register at their local library
  • One group member must complete a registration form accepting responsibility for all sets the group borrows
  • After registering the group should deal exclusively with that one branch.
  • Student groups should ask a member of the teaching staff to apply on their behalf.
