AGRA

BBC History
Comprehensive information on all aspects of history and family history.  Great fun for learning and school projects, with interactive video clips, timelines and audio tracks.

British History Online
A digital library containing some of the core printed primary and secondary sources for the medieval and modern history of the British Isles

Commonwealth War Graves Commission
A database of the members of the Commonwealth forces who died in the two world wars, and of Commonwealth civilian deaths of the Second World War.

Cyndi’s List
This site links to a large number of family history sites. It's a huge resource which has some bias towards North American interests, but which includes much that is useful for British and Commonwealth researchers.

Ellis Island Records
Historical information about immigration to America through Ellis Island, including searchable passenger lists covering the period 1892 to 1924

Family Search
Includes the International Genealogical Index, published by the LDS Church has over 957 million references to people world-wide; includes over 40 million British parish register entries mainly baptisms & marriages from the 1530s to about 1900

Hantsphere
