New biographies are added three times a year in online updates, with coverage now extending into the 21st century.
Updates also include an expanding range of thematic reference materials, creating an online companion guide to British history in the widest sense whihc are ideal for students projects and homework essays!
Themes include feature articles, for example from Roman Britain to South Africa; lists of office holders, from English cricket captains to colonial and post-independence leaders of Australia; and essays on historical groups, from the Band of Merrie Men to the members of the Ealing Studios.
